B. User Preferences and Local Settings
Any wallpapers you mark as favorite, your active categories, custom settings, and theme choices are logged locally on your device. We do not sync these details to an external user account.
3. Device Permissions & Media Library Access
To execute the Service's primary functionality—downloading high-resolution artwork and setting it as your background—we request access to your device's Photo Gallery/Media Library.
We do not read, view, access, or upload your existing personal photos, videos, or camera roll files. The storage permission is utilized strictly in a write-only capacity, allowing the App to save the high-resolution wallpapers you explicitly select to your local storage so they can be set as system wallpapers.
4. Data Retention, Local Storage, & Security
Because we do not store your data on external databases, your local preferences are saved directly to your device using sandboxed storage (via AsyncStorage).
- Retention: Your local preferences, favorites list, and cached files reside exclusively on your physical device. If you uninstall the Pixel Wallpaper app, all of this preference data is immediately, completely, and permanently deleted.
- Security: All network requests made by the App to fetch the wallpaper catalog are secured using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) encryption.
5. Third-Party CDNs and Analytics SDKs
Our curated wallpaper feeds and image assets are hosted on premium third-party Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). When you load the wallpaper gallery, your device communicates directly with these CDNs. Their servers may log your IP address to deliver the assets securely and prevent bandwidth abuse.
Additionally, our app distribution partners (such as Google Play Services) may automatically compile basic analytics, installation records, or crash logs to help us debug application stability across different Android versions. These third-party services operate under their own respective privacy policies.
